MacCentre Company, the exclusive distributor of ONYX International in Russia, takes two new compact models ONYX BOOX with touch control function on the Russian market, allowing the use of the device without a stylus.

ONYX BOOX i62M Albatros and ONYX BOOX i62M Dream, continuing the series devoted to Jules Verne’s creativity, are equipped with a high-contrast screen E-Ink Pearl™, powerful processors and Wi-Fi-module.

Combined management system is implemented in them, which combines touch-screen capabilities and mechanical buttons.

Model ONYX BOOX i62M Albatros has already gone on sale, ONYX BOOX i62M Dream will appear shortly.

The devices are equipped with 6-inch screens with infrared E-Ink Pearl ™, a 12:1 contrast ratio and the function of multi-touch, and turning pages is easy by sliding your finger across the screen (“gesture”) or a short single touch of the screen (“tap”).

Double-button paging, located on each side of the screen allow you to use the device with both hands.

Both models are based on a Freescale processor i.MX508 with a frequency of 800 MHz, which provides a maximum download speed, scalability and paging of documents.

There is a built-in Wi-Fi-module which allows to access the Internet and to view websites, download books and read mail and news through its own web browser.
